Ceremony

By Naledi Setzin

Ceremony

Six feet underground,

No one can hear a sound,

My spirit hovers above the stone,

As people sit in front stuck in their zone,

They all wear black,

Dressed appropriately in fact,

The reality starts to sink in,

As they all start to think in,

I gave them signs,

My heart has cried,

I tried to cure myself,

But nobody was willing to give me help,

It has been years and months I felt this way,

And absolutely could not take another day,

That faitful evening the heavy tears left my eye,

It felt like no one cared about me inside,

I swallowed the pills to numb the pain,

After multiple gulps my heart felt plain,

I could barely feel a single thing,

My body collapsed as my heart decreased,

I knew I had taken to much medication,

I suppose what could I do,

I hated my situation,

Alone on the floor,

I was dying so slow,

Few days later,

My spirit was witnessing my funeral ceremony.
